Samir Soni

              Samir Soni,born on September 29, 1968 is an Indian film and television actor and a former model.

Biography

Soni was born to a Punjabi Hindu family in London, United Kingdom and attended school at St. Xavier's School, Delhi. He graduated from University of California, Los Angeles in Economics.
Prior to his Bollywood career, Samir was an investment banker with one of the bulge bracket firms on Wall Street in New York, before coming back to India to start modeling. He has attended acting courses in New York and Los Angeles. 

Career

Soni made his debut in the 1995 Hindi serial Samandar based on Navy officers. Later that year, he appeared as Ashok Mathur in Doordarshan's A Mouthful Of Sky, based on Ashok Banker's script and directed by Mahesh Bhatt. He made his film debut as a lead actor opposite Mamta Kulkarni in China Gate (1998), though it was followed by forgettable cameos in films.
In 2003, Samir shot to fame by appearing in the film Baghban opposite legendary artistsAmitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. He then played his first solo lead roles in Basti and Kahan Ho Tum.
After failing to become a successful actor in Bollywood, Samir established himself on television with his performances in popular TV shows Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin and Saakkshi, with both airing on Sony.
 Samir became a prominent TV star. He also showcased his skills in the popular TV show Kumkum on STAR Plus, portraying the negative role Yash Thakur.
Samir continued his movie career with supporting roles in blockbuster movies including Vivah, Fashion and I Hate Luv Storys. In 2010, Samir Soni was featured as one of the contestants in the season 4 of reality television show Bigg Boss. He was evicted from the house a week prior to the grand finale. As of 2011, Samir is portraying the lead role of a lawyer Kunal Chopra in Balaji Telefilms' TV serial Parichay that airs on Colors TV.

Personal life

Through modeling, he met his ex-spouse, Rajlakshmi Khanvilkar. The two were married for six months before they divorced. After that Soni was involved in a three year relationship with the late Nafisa Joseph, Miss India 1997. Khanvilkar is now married to one-time actor Rahul Roy.
On 24 January 2011, he married former actress Neelam Kothari. 

Acting


Delhi boy Samir Soni, made his mark as the cunning but slick Ashok Gupta in Doordarshan's A Mouthful of Sky in 1996, followed by forgettable cameos in films like Raj Kumar Santoshi's China Gate. Having learnt theatre under Barry John, Soni has done numerous Bollywood movies including Basti, Lajja, Kaha Ho Tum, Baghban and a cross over movie like Dance Like a Man.
With a forgettable 
debut in China Gate, where his role got slashed at the editing table, Samir considered himself lucky to get to play Amitabh Bachchan's younger son in Baghban. That itself was a memorable experience. Soni has also played a part in the recent Pamela Rooks film, Dance like a Man and has also been seen alongside Mandira Bedi in a play by Vikranth Pawar, tentatively titled Double Act.

He has played a role of Purab in a popular TV soap Jassi Jaisse Koi Nahin which made a huge impact on the viewers around the world. He has also done another soap, Saakshi where he played as head of an anti-terrorist organization - Astra. He is this infallible character who never fails, has all the gadgetry and information he needs. And he was involved with one show in star one called Dil Kya Chahta Hai where he has played a Ram Sinha, a complete Casanova. Besides movies and soaps he has acted in plays like "Ask what father says", Champagne on the house, Insomnia and recently had done Double Act with Mandira Bedi.

Ashmit Patel

           Ashmit Patel was born on 13 January 1978 in Mumbai, India and he is an Indian actor who works in Bollywood films.

Early Life

Ashmit Patel is the son of Amit Patel and Asha Patel, the younger brother of Amisha Patel, and the grandson of the famous lawyer-politician Barrister Rajni Patel who was the Congress Pradesh Committee President of Bombay. His birth name is a blend of the first three letters of his mother's name Asha and the last three letters of his father's name Amit. He studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai and later attended the University of Texas at Austin in United States, from which he received a bachelors degree in Business in 2000. After graduation he worked in his father's business for a while, but later decided to act in films like his sister.

Career

He started his career as an assistant director and worked with Vikram Bhatt in the making of his films, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage (2002), Awara Paagal Deewana (2002), Raaz (2002) and Footpath (2003). He made his acting debut with the film Inteha directed by Vikram Bhatt.[5] In 2004, he appeared alongside Mallika Sherawat and Emraan Hashmi in the thriller Murder, a Bollywood inspiration of Unfaithful. The film was his first commercial success.
In 2005, Patel starred in Soni Razdan's thriller Nazar and Khalid Mohammed's multi-starrer Silsilay. Both the films were unsuccessful at the box office. In 2006, he played supporting roles in Dil Diya Hai, Banaras and Fight Club. In 2007, he starred in the comedy Kudiyon Ka Hai Zamana alongside Mahima Chaudhary and Rekha. His next film Toss was released in 2009. Patel is currently featuring as one of the contestants in the fourth season of the Indian television reality show Bigg Boss.

Controversies:

Ashmit was in news when the MMS video showed Riya Sen kissing Ashmit Patel and then some steamy scenes followed later turns into a heater conversation. Riya Sen and Ashmit Patel were dating each other for a longtime but the matter became worse when Ashmit found that Riya was cheating on him. Later, it is said that Ashmit might have released the video of their private moment on the web to take revenge from the actress starting this Riya Sen-Ashmit Patel MMS Scandal that shot the actress to fame and popularity.

         Jasjit Singh Gill,born 3 December 1970, popularly known as Jimmy Shergil, is an Indian actor.Shergill is married to Priyanka Puri from Delhi and they have a son named Veer Shergill.
Early life
Shergill was born in a Jatt Sikh family in GorakhpurIndia and studied there till 5th Grade in St. Paul's School. Then, his family shifted to Patiala (Punjab). He studied at Yadavindra Public School(YPS), Patiala, and completed his graduation from Government Bikram College of Commerce, Patiala. Shergill born in a Jatt Sikh family in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, He later moved to Punjab the place of his ancestors where Shergill studied in Punjab Public School, Nabha & Bikram College Patiala. He learnt acting from Sri Harpaul Singh , and after learning moved to mumbai city. He lost his mother when he was young 
Film career
He started his career with Maachis, a movie based on terrorism in North India. The film was critically acclaimed and did reasonably well at the box office. Jimmy has since worked in many films but only few have been successful. He starred in My Name is Khan alongside Shahrukh Khan and Kajol.
Shergill has performed a variety of roles in various films such as Munna Bhai MBBSLage Raho MunnabhaiDelhi Heights and A Wednesday. He has been a critically acclaimed performer ever since his entry into Bollywood. His role in Mohabbatein was well appreciated. He went on to act in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai and Tanu Weds Manu.
One of his best performances was in the movie Yahaan where he plays the role of an Army Officer who falls in love with a Kashmiri girl in the strife torn valley of Kashmir & Haasil where he plays the role of a college student who gets roped into the infamous student politics of Allahabad University.

                Apurva Agnihotri,born on 2nd December 1972 at India is an Indian actor, best known for his role in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi as Armaan Suri.Apurva is married to actress Shilpa Sakhlani.

Career
Apurva Agnihotri debuted in the film Pardes, co-starring with Shahrukh Khan and directed by Subhash Ghai. The film was highly successful and garnered Agnihotri a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1997's Zee Cine Awards.
After several more film roles, he was offered the lead role in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin, an Indian television serial. His work as Armaan Suri won him the Indian Telly awards Best Actor Award for 2005.
 He is a 1995 graduate of B. A. Political Science from George Washington University in Washington, D. C.USA.
